There is no doubt former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan troubled batsmen from all over the world. Incredibly tough to pick, batsmen were anxious seeing the sight of Muralitharan coming to bowl.

Recently, we got a surprise after getting to know his own national teammate Kumar Sangakkara, another Sri Lankan great, also had nightmares because of him.

Sangakkara and Muralitharan appeared in the show 'What The Duck' and revealed about an unheard tale. “He loves his TV. I love it too, but Murali will wake me up from my sleep to watch cartoons. I used to play along at first. But then even though I’m pretending to be sleeping, he will call out to me and make sure I watch the cartoon along with him. So I get up and have to keep watching cartoons with him in the room,” Sangakkara said.

Muralitharan also disclosed a shocking thing about his former teammate and friend. He said the southpaw never kept his trophies safely. He would either throw them away or give them away.

“He collects things and he loves doing that. He will collect watches, whiskeys and all the drinks. But the only thing he doesn’t like collecting is trophies. He throws them away or gives it to people. He doesn’t have a single trophy. All of them have been given away to people,” the 46-year-old said.

Sangakkara tweeted and shared the episode with the fans. "Murali's record for not talking might only be 8 seconds, but it was thoroughly enjoyable to listen to him and chat with @vikramsathaye about some of the funniest stories in Sri Lankan cricket!
