Indian captain Virat Kohli is a football enthusiast and that is why it came as no surprise when he had sent his wishes for England football team skipper Harry Kane ahead of their first FIFA World Cup 2018 match.

Kohli tweeted, "Wishing you a successful World Cup campaign @HKane! #WorldCupRussia2018 #HarryCan"

The wish did work for the English team as they started the tournament on a happy note. England beat Tunisia thanks to Harry who scored two goals in the opening game on Monday.

In the opening 20 minutes, England messed up. They managed to miss not one, not two but three open goals, although the first was flagged offside and would not have counted. But the skipper got it covered to give his team a 2-1 win and that helped them bag three important points.

After the game, on Tuesday, Harry replied to Kohli's good luck message on Twitter. "Thanks, Virat, not a bad start! ????," he wrote.
