India skipper Virat Kohli has broken his silence over his beard insurance news, saying “the matter has gone a little too far now”.
On Friday (June 8), Virat’s teammates poked fun at him for being too obsessed with his beard. In fact, the likes of KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Manan Vohra trolled their skipper by using the hashtag #ViratBeardInsurance in their tweets.
Taking to Twitter, Kohli on Sunday (June 10) quoted Philips India’s tweet and wrote: “All said and done, I think this has gone a little too far now. It’s time I address this personally. #LoveItTrimIt @PhilipsIndia @PhilipsMenIn”.

The Indian captain’s tweet clearly suggests that he is endorsing a trimmer and there is nothing as such like beard insurance in real life for him.
In the video posted by Philips India, Virat said: “In the past couple of days, a lot has been said about my beard. Suddenly the nation wants to know everything. So why not hear it from me?”.
“Yes insurance to karayi hai, leking gaadi ki daadhi ki nahi.. Magar style to insurance vala hi hai but style ke liye insurance no yaar,” he added.

Virat is currently going through the rehabilitation period after suffering a neck injury during the IPL. The neck sprain also ruled him out of his maiden county stint for Surrey.
Kohli recently led Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2018. Although RCB didn’t perform to their potential in the cash-rich event, he enjoyed another sensational campaign with the willow. The 29-year-old scored 530 runs in 14 innings with 4 fifties and finished as the highest run-getter for his team.
