India skipper Virat Kohli is fiercely passionate and motivated on the field but he is quite a fashion icon off it. Kohli likes to experiment with his look and it would be fair to say that most of the Indian players prefer to sport beard nowadays because of him.
On Friday (June 8), however, Virat’s teammates tried to troll him for being too obsessed with his beard.
Firstly, opening batsman KL Rahul posted a video on Twitter with a caption: “Haha, I knew you were obsessed with your beard @imVkohli but this news of you getting your beard insured confirms my theory. ????????”.

Soon after Rahul’s tweet, the likes of Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Manan Vohra joined the fun and started to trend the hashtag #ViratBeardInsurance.
The captain of all things cool both on and off the field! Curious to find out what this is all about ???? #viratinsuresbeard

Amidst the amusement, Kohli countered his teammates with a hilarious reply. Taking to Twitter, the Indian captain wrote: “The talk around my beard is quite entertaining. @klrahul11, @buntysajdeh, @yuzi_chahal, @y_umesh it's popcorn time boys ???? #ViratBeardInsurance”.

Virat is currently going through the rehabilitation period after suffering a neck injury during the IPL. The neck sprain also ruled him out of his maiden county stint for Surrey.
Kohli recently led Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2018. Although RCB didn’t perform to their potential in the cash-rich event, he enjoyed another sensational campaign with the willow. The 29-year-old scored 530 runs in 14 innings with 4 fifties and finished as the highest run-getter for his team.
