Cricketer Mayank Agarwal got married to Aashita Sood, the daughter of Bangalore cop, Praveen Sood. The couple knew each other from long and decided to get hitched last year.

Mayank, who proposed his better half at the London Eye before the New Year, said Aashita is one of the nicest people. “We have known each other for about seven years. Aashita is very grounded and one of the nicest people I know and that’s what I like about her the most," Mayank said after his engagement in January.

“I had no idea that Mayank was coming to London, even though we had been talking about meeting up. Towards the end of December, his phone was not reachable for a couple of days and when I checked with him he claimed that he was having issues with the handset. He was actually on his way to London and surprised me here. The proposal also came out of the blue,” Aashita had said.

Indian cricketer KL Rahul attended the wedding of his friend. He shared the picture on Instagram with his fans. "Celebrating @mayankagarawal ‘s and @aashitasood09 ’s big day!????????Friends like family, blessed with the best! ????????????#AshKaroMayank????," Rahul wrote sharing the picture.

Mayank was bought by the Kings XI Punjab franchise for rupees one crore. But despite having a great domestic season, he failed to replicate it in the Indian Premier League in 2018.
