Virat Kohli loves his beard too much to get rid of it anytime soon

Kohli has foiled attempts of getting him to join the 'Break The Beard' trend.

Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli loves his beard and there is no way he is going to shave it in near future. The 29-year-old is a style icon in India and he can be seen in new looks. But mostly he experiments with his hairdo only and never thinks about trimming his beard.

The beard love was seen when he had denied participating in the famous 'Break the Beard' trend last year while other cricketers trimmed their facial hair.

"Sorry boys @hardikpandya_official @royalnavghan @rohitsharma45 but iam not ready to break the beard yet. Great job on the makeovers though. Kudos ✌️✌️," Virat had posted last year on social media tagging his teammates.

Even Anushka Sharma, his then-girlfriend (wife now), had commented on the post and asked him to not try it anyway. "You cannot," she replied to the post.

Recently, a fan asked Kohli at a promotional event whether he would ever get rid of his carefully trimmed bristles. Answering the question, Virat said, "I don't think so, I really like it."

The Indian cricket stalwart is confident about his beard and says it suits him and he doesn't want to say it goodbye. "I think it suits me. So I don't want to get rid of it. Looking after it is not that difficult because the beard oils have come in and it's very easy. A little bit of beard oil and it's in place. But when it gets too big and thick then obviously I have to trim it. That's the only thing. But no, I would not get rid of it."

Virat is currently leading Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. His team has a slight chance of making it to the top 4 and they will be facing the strongest side of IPL 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday in a must-win encounter.
