Sports has a major role to play in empowering women and breaking the stereotype that the ladies shouldn't play the "men's game". Well, sports isn't restricted to any specific gender and the women are proving it in this era.

Indian women's team had reached to final in Women's World Cup 2017 last year. Though they were defeated in the final, it still served the purpose of popularising the women's cricket very well. The journey to the final had inspired many girls to take up the game of cricket.

Indian batswoman Veda Krishnamurthy spoke to South Africa's AB de Villiers, who is in India for the IPL 2018. She asked De Villiers about the transition of women's cricket in the show named 'Her Innings' by Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise.

Veda, noticing the positive change for women in cricket, asked De Villiers about the women's commentators finding a place in the commentary panel of major T20 leagues like IPL and BBL. She questioned if that brings a new perspective to the game?

The RCB cricketer agrees with it. He thinks it does bring a change after getting the girls voice to the pitch.
