Australian vice-captain, David Warner and South African wicket-keeper Quinton De Kock were engaged in an ugly argument during the First Test between South Africa and Australia. It was reported on Monday that personal insults made things fiery between De Kock and Warner during the tea break of the fourth day's play at Durban.
CCTV footage showed Warner apparently having a go at De Kock as the players walked up a narrow staircase leading to the dressing rooms at the start of the interval at Kingsmead.
More than the fight, Twitter turned their eyes on Faf Du Plessis, who was out in a towel during the altercation. The South African skipper can be seen calming things between the two cricketers.
Faf also cleared it in the presser that this type of behavior should not be tolerated. He said the umpires needed to ensure proper behavior on the field.
"From what I've heard there was a lot of personal stuff being said, to and from. Who started it, I don't know. If it was happening on the field it should have been nipped in the bud. The fact that it spilled over after the field shouldn’t have happened," he said.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Faf's appearance in the CCTV footage:
How to deal with David Warner:

Kepler Wessels: "David Warner is not the scariest person I've ever seen".
Faf Du Plessis: Go and talk to him in your towel.#SAvsAUS pic.twitter.com/WjfLJHFxrd
I am now imagining that Faf just walks around in a towel with his abs out every minute he isn't on the field.

Just went searching but can’t find a single pic of Faf with his shirt on. #SAvAus #FafRig pic.twitter.com/RG5ONhY90q

Faf to Warner: You'll have to speak up, I'm wearing a towel

@gradecricketer Faf coming in with just a towel on to defuse the situation between Warner and de Kock is peak alpha pic.twitter.com/aTOS44duEQ

I hope Faf gets some kind of endorsement deal from a towel brand. The least he deserves for his alpha jock act.

Just love the way Rabada stood up for Quinny cos no one else did, except faf who came out with his towel to calm the situation. Lol Ngidi seemed so surprised of what's happening and minded his own business... #SAvsAus#ProteaFire#SSCricket
