Former Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan was the victim of manhandling by a fan, who snatched his cap during a match between United Bank Limited and Water and Power Development Authority.
United Bank Limited had defeated Water and Power Development Authority by six wickets to win the final of National One Day tournament for departments. WAPDA was bowled out for 218 after they were sent in to bat by UBL captain Younis, who won the toss at the home ground.
In response, UBL reached the target with 42 balls remaining for the loss of just four wickets. Khan credited the team for the victory and said, “It was total team effort, I won’t take credit for this."
After the win, Younis Khan was out in the ground for celebration when the incident happened. The ground was flooded with the spectators and one of the fans from crowd pulled off Khan's cap. The veteran cricketer was clearly annoyed with the action.
