Arshdeep Singh deletes 250+ reels in Instagram cleanse, removes viral video with Virat Kohli as well

Arshdeep Singh also deleted the viral video with Virat Kohli.

Arshdeep Singh | BCCI-IPLIndia and Punjab Kings (PBKS) pacer Arshdeep Singh has gone on a cleanse of his social media accounts after receiving severe criticism of the kind of content he was posting. This also comes after the Punjab Kings were eliminated from the race for the IPL 2026 playoffs.

PBKS, who had won the first six games out of seven, went on a losing streak, losing 6 games in a row and only winning the final league game. However, after the Rajasthan Royals defeated the Mumbai Indians in their final league game in Mumbai, the Punjab and Kolkata franchises were eliminated from the IPL 2026 playoffs.

On the field, Arshdeep Singh also endured a tough season with 14 wickets in 14 games and an economy of over 10 per over. He also caught the attention of fans for his social media activity as well, with his humorous reels having some racial undertones.

This has led to the 27-year-old pacer wiping a massive chunk of his grid on Instagram. This also included his viral reel with India batting superstar Virat Kohli, which had more than 15 million views.

This reel was uploaded in December last year, when Arshdeep joked with Kohli that if the target had been bigger, the former captain might have scored a third consecutive century.

"Paaji, run kam reh gaye, century aaj pakki thi waise (Brother, the target wasn't big enough; otherwise, a century seemed certain)," Arshdeep had said.

Kohli playfully responded, "Toss jeet gaye, nahi toh teri bhi pakki thi dew mein (Be thankful we won the toss, or you would have been hit for a century in the dew!)."

Arshdeep has yet to explain his increased social media activity, leaving admirers guessing whether the move was a personal reset, a rebranding exercise, or something far bigger going on behind the scenes. Over 250 Instagram postings have disappeared, with current count being 44 posts.

Arshdeep has not deleted all Punjab Kings-related posts, nor has he removed PBKS from his bio. No media house was unable to independently verify whether these posts were later reinstated.

The remaining entries mostly showcase moments with his family, achievements in his cricket career, and a few brand endorsements.  Arshdeep Singh has removed majority of posts from his Instagram | Screengrab
