After moving from RR to CSK before the IPL 2026 season, Sanju Samson has already established himself as Chennai's chettan. The wicketkeeper-batter is now making an effort to get to know the local CSK supporters by playing beach cricket with them.
Samson chose to play cricket with the Chennai supporters as a member of the gang after arriving without any security guards and mingling with them right away. The spectators were delighted to interact with the CSK opener, who even batted left-handed and hit a tremendous shot.
Samson shared some light-hearted moments with the fans as the video quickly went viral on social media.
Samson has been CSK's top run scorer thus far this season, repaying their faith in him. In 11 games, the wicketkeeper has amassed 430 runs at a strike rate of 169.29 and an average of 53.75.
With two hundreds this season, he is the first Indian player for the team and only the fourth player in history to score multiple IPL hundreds in a single season. CSK will hope for more centuries and runs from Samson as they make a huge push for the playoffs. They are in 5th spot with 12 points from 6 wins in 11 games.
