After Indian batting star Virat Kohli supposedly liked one of her photos on social media—a moment that swiftly went viral online—German influencer Lizlaz talked about how her life had transformed.

Lizlaz claimed that the unexpected attention gave her a number of chances, such as offers for reality shows and business promotions. She did, however, also assert that several individuals approached her with financial offers in an attempt to disparage Kohli.

“Some people wanted me to throw shade at him and say things he never did. But why would I do that? He’s my favourite cricketer. Why would I throw shade at him for money?" Lizlaz told Filmymantra.

The influencer admitted she was stunned by the overnight fame. Lizlaz also highlighted the contrast in reactions between India and Germany.

“I found out because people started calling me. I didn’t even see it in my notifications. I opened Google, and there were pages and pages about me. It felt very unreal. In India, people were asking, ‘Who is Lizlaz?’ But in Germany, the headlines were asking, ‘Who is Virat Kohli?’ because cricket is not very popular there," she quipped.

Her online popularity also landed Lizlaz a job as a cricket presenter during a match between Germany and Austria.

“I absolutely loved it. I did the post-match moderation, player interviews, and trophy ceremony. Being part of the game felt amazing," she recalled her experience.

She has revealed receiving multiple collab requests and brand promotion opportunities, including proposals from online casinos.

“I got offered insane amounts of money, but I don’t want to promote something against my values," she said.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has experienced a lull in his IPL 2026 campaign. He has scored 379 runs in 11 games for RCB, but has scored two ducks in the last two games for his franchise.
