Tamil Nadu got its new Chief Minister as actor C Joseph Vijay, better known as Vijay, took his oath as the leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party. The TVK party performed stunningly in the recent elections in Tamil Nadu, winning 108 seats.

Vijay’s party also received support from several other parties, including Congress, as he became the 9th CM of the state since it became a state in 1986 with a unicameral legislature.

During his oath-taking ceremony, former India spinner R Ashwin spotted a security personnel bearing a strong resemblance to Chennai Super Kings and India pacer Anshul Kamboj.

"Duty always comes first, but on a must-win match day #CSKVLSG, it's a bit too much. It's a day game, get a cab & get to Chepauk ASAP, Anshul Kamboj. Big game," Ashwin posted on X.

Here are some fan reactions:

Meanwhile, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first in Chepauk against LSG. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the captain of CSK, stated after winning the toss that it was not difficult to bowl first on a red soil pitch because the surface had been covered and there had been rain.

The wicket was under covers, and there was rain around. The pitch does behave differently in day games, but we need to adapt well and then restrict them to a low score. Pretty positive on the way the last 7-8 games have gone for us. It's been a good turnaround,d and we'll look to stay positive,” he said.

LSG got off to a flying start, thanks to Josh Inglis’s 85 in 33 balls with 10 fours and 6 sixes. However, after the initial assault, CSK has taken 5 quick wickets, ts including that of Inglis and captain Rishabh Pant (15), to stall their charge in 13 overs.
