Young Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz has sparked significant controversy for publicly stating that he "hates every single bowler" of the Indian team.
In a viral interview with a local channel, the 23-year-old expressed extreme aggression towards India, saying he feels extra motivation and wants to attack all their bowlers.
During the interview, Nawaz was asked about the bowler he wants to hit for runs in international cricket. He refrained from taking any name but said that he hates all Indian bowlers and wants to hit them all.
“When playing against India, of course there’s extra motivation. You naturally feel like you want to attack their bowlers. I hate all their bowlers, to be honest. And Inshallah, if given the chance, we’ll try to do that going forward,” Nawaz said in reply to the question.
The video went viral on social media, with many fans calling out the hateful nature of Nawaz’s statement and his poor performance against India last year.
Hasan Nawaz has played 25 T20Is and 4 ODIs for Pakistan so far. Notably, his single appearance against India in the Asia Cup 2025 saw him score just 5 runs off 7 balls before being dismissed by wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
