Former South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers was asked to name his Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T) in T20 cricket. De Villiers has been part of various T20 leagues across the globe, including the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
He played for RCB with amazing players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and Dale Steyn, and faced off against teams like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, which featured amazing players like
Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and others.
However, when he was asked to choose the T20 GOAT, De Villiers went for a bowler and named India and MI great Jasprit Bumrah as his Greatest of All time in T20 cricket.
“Who is the T20 Greatest of All Time?” De Villiers was asked on the sidelines of the SA20 League.
"It's going to be a controversial... not controversial, ironic answer, because I think it's (Jasprit) Bumrah. But not bowling to me. Just his consistency. His ability to bowl at any stage of the 20 overs and take wickets under pressure - with the new ball, old ball, you name it. Super Over - you throw the ball to him; he wins you the game. That's Jasprit Bumrah for you,” De Villiers said.
Jasprit Bumrah has taken 345 wickets in 270 T20 matches with an economy of 6.91 and best bowling figures of 5/10. He has also taken 121 wickets in 95 T20Is for India, with best bowling of 4/15 and an economy of 6.51.
