Indian footballer Gurpreet Singh Sandhu poked fun at Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in a viral training clip shared on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Gurpreet on Saturday (January 31) uploaded a clip, in which he was seen imitating Babar and Rizwan's rather odd warm-up and stretching maneuvers.
The post, which was captioned 'Inspired by true events', featured him and some other footballers. It also included the original clip of Babar and Rizwan’s unusual training.
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu will next be in action during the ISL 2026 season, starting February 14. He will play for Bengaluru FC.
On the other hand, Babar Azam has been picked in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad whereas Mohammad Rizwan doesn’t feature in the T20I scheme of things anymore.
However, Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup continues to remain uncertain. Ever since Bangladesh’s removal from the tournament for refusing to travel to India citing security concerns, the PCB has indicated that they are considering several options and a final decision on whether they take part in the marquee event will be made by their government.
A final call is expected on Monday (February 2). The Men in Green are slated to play all their T20 World Cup fixtures in Sri Lanka under a hybrid model agreement with the BCCI and ICC till 2027.
