Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma travelled to Vrindavan on Tuesday to seek Premanand Ji Maharaj's blessings. Following a hugely successful ODI series against South Africa in which Virat Kohli scored two centuries and a half-century, the Indian batting star visited Vrindavan with his wife, Anushka Sharma.
During their tour, Virat and Anushka visited Shri Hit Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj and asked for his grace. This was their third excursion to Vrindavan this year, having already traveled there with their children in January and May to receive the spiritual leader's blessings.
The pair participated in a special spiritual contact called Ekantik Vartalaap with Premanand Ji Maharaj at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj at Varah Ghat.
In the video, which was shared by Bhajan Marg's official Instagram handle, Premanand Maharaj told Kohli and Anushka to treat their work as "service to God."
"Apne karyakshetra ko bhagwan ka seva smajhiye. Gambhir bhav se rahiye. Vinamra rahiye. Aur khub naam jap kijiye. (Treat your work as your service to God. Be serious and humble. And pray to the Almighty," Premanand Maharaj told Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
The Men in Blue's January match against New Zealand will be Kohli's next appearance in India colors. The three-match ODI series will be India's sole 50-over engagement till July 2026. The opening ODI between India and New Zealand is set to take place at Vadodara on January 11.
