Virat Kohli, Indian batter, visited the Simhachalam Temple in Vizag for blessings following a standout performance in India against South Africa in the recent ODI series. Kohli had discovered some form in the Australia ODIs, scoring 74* after bagging two ducks in the first two ODIs down under.
He roared back against South Africa as the ace batter hit 302 runs, including centuries in the first two ODIs and 65* in the third ODI, which decided the series in Vizag. Kohli's dominance against the Proteas earned him the Player of the Series award.
Kohli also concluded 2025 as India’s leading ODI batter with 651 runs at an average of 65. Kohli went to the shrine by himself the day following the final ODI game of the series and prayed to Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha.
