India women’s team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana appeared in a video on social media in a collab with Colgate India. This was Mandhana’s first appearance since her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal got postponed due to the ill health of her father.
Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's wedding, initially slated for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, has been postponed indefinitely due to Smriti's father's severe medical emergency, which required him to be hospitalized on the morning of the ceremony.
Palash later required hospitalization, apparently due to severe stress. Faced with a double problem, both families agreed to cancel the wedding for the time being.
Smriti exchanged rings with Palash after the composer shocked her with a proposal at the DY Patil Stadium, which hosted the Women's World Cup final.
In a promotional video for a well-known toothpaste brand, Smriti made a comeback to Instagram. In it, she recalled a tip from former India captain Rahul Dravid regarding the need for maintaining good oral health.
