Indian women’s cricketer and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana got engaged to music composer Palash Muchhal recently, and the duo is set to get married on November 23.
In a video shared by Muchhal on his Instagram, he took Mandhana to the venue where she and the Indian women’s team won the ICC World Cup recently, the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. He leads a blindfolded Mandhana to the center of the pitch and then gets down on one knee to propose.
Smriti, happy and emotional, accepts the proposal. Moments later, friends of Smriti and Palash rush to the center of the pitch to celebrate the couple's auspicious event. Palash's sister, Palak Muchhal, a prominent singer, joined them at the event.
In the closing shots, Mandhana casually showed her engagement ring, and the internet reacted immediately, flooding social media with affection for the couple.

Smriti had announced the news to her fans and followers on social media with a funny video including her World Cup-winning colleagues Jemimah Rodrigues and Radha Yadav, among others.
Smriti and Palash have had a long-term relationship, keeping it primarily quiet while supporting each other in their various jobs. Palash was spotted cheering on Smriti and the Indian women's team at the World Cup final versus South Africa earlier this month.
