India batter Tilak Varma celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday (November 8). With his meteoric rise from domestic cricket and the IPL to international level, the southpaw has become one of India’s most exciting young stars.
Tilak made his international debut in a T20I match against the West Indies in 2023. Since then, he has represented India in 36 T20Is, amassing 996 runs at an average of 47.42 and a strike of 146.68, including two hundreds and four half-centuries.
Earlier this year, the left-hander played a key role in India’s Asia Cup 2025 triumph, playing an unbeaten knock of 69 in the final against Pakistan.
Tilak has also appeared in four ODIs so far, where he has scored 68 runs at an average of 22.67 with one half-century to his name.
Tilak Varma’s 23rd birthday proved to be a special one as he celebrated it along with his Indian teammates and support staff members in Australia.
After the fifth T20I in Brisbane, Tilak cut the cake and shared a video of fun celebration on Instagram. In the clip, he was seen shirtless as the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep Singh teased him.
“Celebrating my birthday with the best team, creating memories and celebrating moments together,” Tilak captioned the video.
