The Indian men’s cricket team is in Japan for the Asian Games 2026, and the Indian players have been exploring the country well. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and ex-vice-captain Axar Patel were seen shopping for pillows, and Bumrah got a customised one made for him, which got a funny reaction from his wife, Sanjana Ganesan.
Bumrah can be seen testing out custom-made ergonomic pillows at a Japanese bedding studio in an Instagram video shot by Patel, who doubled as the cameraman. The video captured the two stars' tight bond as store specialists do neck alignment checks and take personalised contour measurements.
Bumrah swiftly took advantage of the chance to joke around with his buddy, Patel, while evaluating the customised support designs. Bumrah praised the accuracy of Japanese craftsmanship, while Axar's laughter behind the camera encouraged the bowler.
“Mere baad tu hai (You’re right after me). Itni jaanch padtaal ke baad kabhi maine apne sone ke baade mein socha nahi hain (I’ve never thought about my sleep in this much detail before),” Bumrah can be seen saying.
Bumrah shared the video on his Instagram account and soon got a response from his wife Sanjana Ganesan, who was surprised to see her husband shopping for pillows in Japan.
“You’ve gone ALL THE WAY to Japan to do THIS?” she commented. To this, Bumrah showcased an elite level of humour and said, "I won’t share the pillow when you ask for it.”
Bumrah was not picked in the India XI for the one-off historic T20I against Japan in Sano on September 22. India won the close game, which was affected by rain and shortened to 5 overs per side, by 2 runs.
