Tamil Nadu left-arm spinner Sai Kishore made a huge impression on his Gloucestershire debut in English County Cricket against Worcestershire at the College Ground, Cheltenham. Gloucestershire won the toss and chose to bat first.
However, they were bowled out for 150 runs, with Tommy Boorman top-scoring with 60 and Ben Allison picking up 5/19. In response, Worcestershire made 267 runs, with Rehaan Edavalath (63), Brett D’Oliveira (83) and Beyers Swanepoel (42) being the major scorers.
Sai Kishore picked 4/76 in 30.2 overs in his first outing for Gloucestershire. The most brilliant ball from Sai Kishore came when he was bowling to opposition captain Brett D’Oliveira. His resistance ended when Kishore’s ball landed on the leg stump and turned big to hit the top of the off-stump, leaving the batter stunned.
