WATCH- Taskin Ahmed’s bizarre celebration after dismissing Cameron Green goes viral in ongoing 1st AUS v BAN Test

Australia won the toss against Bangladesh in the first Test and chose to bat first.

Taskin Ahmed | XBeginning on August 13, 2026, Australia and Bangladesh faced off in the opening of a two-Test series at Darwin's Marrara Stadium. After winning the toss, Pat Cummins decided to bat first.

Australia was bowled out for 198 runs in their first innings; therefore, the move backfired. The only other batters to score more than 20 runs were Jake Weatherald (23) and Travis Head (22), with Steve Smith leading the way with 71.

With 6/55, Hasan Mahmud was a standout player for Bangladesh, while Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain both claimed two wickets.

During Australia’s innings, Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed came into the limelight for his bizarre celebration after dismissing Australia’s Cameron Green. Green attempted to flick a length delivery toward the leg side in the 22nd over of the Australian innings, but he ended up making a terrible shot.

Mushfiqur Rahim made a strong catch when the ball flew to him at mid-wicket. After dismissing Green, Taskin started dancing a little while others ran to Rahim to celebrate, his tongue protruding.

However, despite losing Shadman Islam for 20 runs, Bangladesh have made a strong start to their first innings, with Tanzid Hasan and Mominul Haque playing solidly.
