Babar Azam's run out | XThe ongoing second Test between West Indies and Pakistan is being played at the Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. West Indies captain Roston Chase won the toss and chose to bat first.

Justin Greaves (73), Roston Chase (70) and Brandon King’s 46 took West Indies to 344 in the first innings. Sajid Khan took 4/85, while four other Pakistani bowlers took two wickets each.

In response, Imam-ul-Haq got out for 14 runs, while Azan Awais made 55 runs. But the partnership that put the Pakistani innings in the advantage came between Abdullah Shafique and captain Babar Azam. They added 183 runs for the third wicket, which ended when Babar Azam got run out in a comical way for 88 runs.

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 75th over bowled by Jomel Warrican. Babar dabbed the shortish delivery towards the off-side and set off for a quick single. Shafique initially showed interest in the run, but after calling Babar mid-pitch, refused to go through with it.

Babar tried to turn back quickly and get back into the crease, but Brandon King pounced on the ball quickly and managed to hit the stumps directly. Babar tried to dive to regain his crease, but replays found that he was very short and was given run out.

Babar Azam looked distraught and stared with sad eyes at Shafique once the run-out happened and the videos of the same went viral.
