Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has named MS Dhoni as the batter he’d like to go in the battlefield for him if his life was on the line.

Jadeja had made his India debut under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and also played the majority of his IPL career for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with MS Dhoni, winning the title in 2018, 2021 and 2023. He was released by CSK before the IPL 2025 season and was traded to Rajasthan Royals, along with Sam Curran.

Meanwhile, during an interaction for Rajasthan Royals, the anchor asked Ravindra Jadeja about one cricketer he would like to bat for himself, if his life was on the line.

“Jaddu bhai if your life is on the line and you have to choose one batter to bat. Who will be that batter?” the anchor asked.

Jadeja named MS Dhoni without any hesitation.

Jadeja was also on the sidelines for the Indian team, having last played an ODI in January against New Zealand. He wasn’t picked for the Afghanistan series at home and for the ODI series in England. However, he had recently been named in India’s squad for the upcoming two-Test series in Sri Lanka.
