India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batting legend Virat Kohli was captured on camera meeting his RCB teammate and England’s Jordan Cox, just before the all-rounder makes his England Test debut in the second Test against New Zealand at the Oval.
Fans were immediately drawn to pictures and videos of the two cricket players together, and many were interested in the meeting's timing in relation to a significant turning point in Cox's career.
While playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru during their successful IPL campaign earlier this year, the two grew close. Despite not playing for the team, Cox spent a lot of time with the team and had the chance to pick up tips from more seasoned players like Kohli.
Photos and videos show Kohli and Cox engaging in conversation in a restaurant in London. The two talked for a while before sharing a hug and going their separate ways.

Virat Kohli was not included in India’s squad for the ongoing Afghanistan ODIs, as he had suffered a hamstring injury during the IPL 2026 final. He is expected to gain full fitness for the three ODIs that will be played in England from July 14 onwards.
