The Jharkhand T20 League features six teams and all matches are being played at the Ranchi Stadium.

MS Dhoni | Jharkhand T20 League InstagramLegendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni was seen enjoying himself during the inaugural Jharkhand T20 league at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. Dhoni was seen flanked by JSCA officials and former India cricketers Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem.

MS Dhoni was part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the recent IPL 2026 tournament, but didn’t play a single game as he had injured his calf before the tournament began and then suffered a thumb injury. This was the first time in 19 editions of IPL that Dhoni failed to play a single game in an IPL season.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was seen interacting with fans in Ranchi Stadium and threw tennis balls into the crowd before joining all the officials and captains in the Jharkhand T20 League tournament to unveil the trophy.

He also tossed the coin for the first match of the tournament and then, funnily, walked away after looking at which side the coin had landed.

The competition features six teams — Ranchi Titans, Jamshedpur Steelers, Chota Nagpur Royals, Koylanchal Super Kings, Dhanbad Diamonds, and Santhal Strikers. A total of 27 matches, including the semi-finals and final, will be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex over the next two weeks.
