Sri Lanka defeated India in the third ODI on Friday (July 23) by three wickets to avoid a whitewash. They chased down 227 runs (D/L) with 48 balls to spare and broke India's winning streak of 9 consecutive victories in Sri Lanka.
The Shikhar Dhawan-led side, who had won the first two matches, clinched the three-match series by 2-1. The Indian cricketers were delighted with the comfortable win and they expressed their happiness on social media after the match.

India decided to give ODI caps to batsman Nitish Rana, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya, off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham, and wicket-keeper Sanju Samson for the final match.
"सफ़र खूबसूरत है मंजिल से भी ???????? #grateful ????????????," wrote Nitish while sharing the priceless moment when he received the cap. Kuldeep Yadav shared a group picture with the trophy and wrote that he's looking forward to the T20I series. "So close but great game tonight. Very happy with the series win. Onto the T20ls. ???????? #TeamIndia #SLvIND."
Skipper Dhawan congratulated his team members for the victory and said he's proud of their effort. "So proud of this team for the way they’ve worked! Congratulations to everyone ???????? Onto the T20Is ????," he wrote.
