With Virat Kohli and Co. in UK, Rahul Dravid was appointed as the head coach of this Shikhar Dhawan-led new-look Indian team that travelled to Sri Lanka for the ongoing white-ball tour which consists of three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Former India skipper, Rahul Dravid, who has also worked as the coach of India Under-19 and India A teams, has vast experience of playing the game. While Indian players have benefitted from his expertise in cricket, Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka also learned a few lessons on Friday (July 23).
During a rain stoppage in the third and final ODI of the series which India won 2-1, Shanaka got an opportunity to interact with Dravid and get his valuable insights on a few elaborate details of the game.

The pictures of the 29-year-old all-rounder interacting with the India legend have gone viral on social media and won hearts of many fans across the globe as they praised the stand-in Indian cricket team head coach for his humility.
“Such a little thing but still kinda wholesome in an era where frequent discussions happen about discipline and respect regarding Sri Lanka cricket #SLvIND,” a user wrote on Twitter.
“This is very pleasing to see. During the break Rahul Dravid chatting with Dasun Shanaka. #SLvIND,” another user commented.
