Sri Lanka's head coach Mickey Arthur was seen having an animated discussion with captain Dasun Shanaka after the loss in the second ODI against India. The supposed to be 'dressing room talk' happened on the field and former Sri Lanka captain Russel Arnold found it wrong.
"That conversation between Coach and captain should not have happened on the field but in the dressing room ????," Arnold tweeted after the match. Arthur was upset after Sri Lanka lost a match that was totally in their control.
The head coach responded to Arnold's tweet and told him to "not make mischief out of it". He said both of them were frustrated with the outcome and they had a very good debate.
"Russ we win together and lose together but we learn all the time! Dasun and myself are growing a team and we both were very frustrated we did not get over the line! It was actually a very good debate,no need to make mischief out of it!", he replied.
The visitors were on a score of 193-7 and it looked like the Shanaka-led team will level the series with their terrific bowling performance.
But they couldn't do much after Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar put up a match-winning partnership of 84 runs. India chased down the target of 276 with 3 wickets in hand and 5 balls to spare.
