All the best, Sanju!", Tharoor tweeted who has been serving as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Thiruvananthapuram since 2009.

Earlier, BCCI's medical team had confirmed that Samson has sustained a knee injury during the training session. Wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan made his ODI debut for India in the first ODI against Sri Lanka. He scored a half-century as India won the match by 7 wickets. It will be interesting to see if the team management slots Samson into the playing XI if he is available to play in the second ODI.
