SL v IND 2021: White-ball series set to be rescheduled after COVID-19 positive cases in Sri Lankan camp

According to the report, the series, which was slated to get underway with the first ODI on July 13, is now likely to start on July 17 or 18.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) reportedly wants its players to serve an extended period of quarantine as batting coach Grant Flower and a team analyst were recently tested positive for COVID-19 on their return from the England tour.

Apparently, the host board will announce the revised schedule of the matches to the BCCI and broadcasters on Saturday (July 10).

Meanwhile, a report published in ESPNcricinfo suggests that three ODIs will now take place on July 17, 19 and 21 while the three T20Is on July 24, 25 and 27.

As per the initial schedule, the three-match ODI series was scheduled to be played from July 13 to 18 followed by three T20Is from July 21 to 25.

All the six white-ball games are due to be held in Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium.
