Team India played an intra-squad match with skipper Shikhar Dhawan and vice-captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking on each other. The match was played at the SSC ground in Colombo and saw all the players getting some action in the middle.

India and Sri Lanka will clash in six limited-overs matches from July 13 onwards, with R Premadasa Stadium hosting all the encounters. The ODI series will be played on July 13, 16, and 18, while the T20Is will be played on July 21, 23, and 25.

Players hopeful of getting a game with the Indian team like Nitish Rana, and Ruturaj Gaikwad were seen in action as the BCCI and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board shared photos from the match. Shikhar Dhawan’s team wore the Indian limited-overs kit, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s team wore the practice kit.

Other players seen in the photos are Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, and Ishan Kishan, who can be seen keeping wickets.
