India's small screen actor Vikrant Massey upset the Indian cricket fans after he apologized to the South African cricket team for the on-field behavior of Indian players in the third Test. Before the visitors lost the third Test match against South Africa by 7 wickets, there was a controversial DRS on Day 3.
India skipper Virat Kohli was not satisfied with a DRS decision and he ended up making comments against the host broadcasters through stump mic.
It was during the 21st over of South Africa's second innings, when Proteas captain Dean Elgar was given out LBW off R Ashwin's delivery and he challenged the decision.
Elgar survived the LBW decision after replays showed that the ball hit him below the knee, however, hawk-eye showed it was going over the stumps. The Indian players couldn't believe it and they lost their cool over the decision.
Taking to Twitter, Massey posted an apology to the South African cricket team and wrote, "Most Indian cricket fans are deeply embarrassed by the shrill “Box-Office” antics by our boys.
"And since nobody would in these times of chest-thumping machoism, very popular in my country, I and most I know would wanna apologize to the SA Cricket team. Well played."
The Indian cricket fans were already furious over the outcome of the series and Massey's tweet didn't go down well with them.
