SA v IND 2021-22: WATCH - Rishabh Pant's gesture for his bat wins heart on social media

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant's gesture for his bat on Thursday (January 13) won hearts on social media. Pant scored a hundred in the second innings of the third Test and remained unbeaten on 100* as India got bowled out for 198 runs.

During the 60th over, Pant tried to go after the bowler and attempt a big hit but the bat slipped out of his hands. The bat flew towards the square leg and he had to pick it up later.

Pant was seen planting kisses on the bat and patting it before continuing to bat again. His respect for the bat was appreciated by the Twitterati and they lauded him for the gesture.
