On the 2nd day of the ongoing 3rd Test match, South Africa's Marco Jansen received the taste of his own medicine when Jasprit Bumrah bowled a breathtaking delivery which came back in sharply, to which Jansen was late to defend and lost his off-stump.

Bumrah claimed sweet revenge and even had a smirk on his face while he looked at the batter after his dismissing him. This incident was proof that it's not the best idea to fool around with the Indian pacer.

All of us remember the incident that took place during the India tour of England last year. Both Bumrah and Anderson exchanged looks after the Indian pacer bounced the England veteran in a period of ferocious short bowling display.

After the end of the day's play, Anderson was seen mouthing off to Bumrah. However, when Bumrah was peppered with bouncers when he came out to bat, the Indian batter survived the barrage, helping India to a healthy lead along with Mohammad Shami, which helped India earn a magical win at Lord's.

This incident was clearly highlighted in Wasim Jaffer’s recent tweet where he said that players need to “learn from history” and if they don’t, they are certainly “doomed” against a motivated Bumrah.

Wasim called Bumrah “Phenomenal” in his tweet and wrote: "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. Jasprit Bumrah is just phenomenal. #SAvIND."

The Indian pacer ended the innings with a brilliant 5-wicket haul as India dismissed the hosts for 210 runs in the first innings of the Test. Bumrah’s earned 5/42 in 23.3 overs. Apart from Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav were successful in claiming 2 wickets each, Shardul Thakur also took one wicket.
