India Test captain Virat Kohli shocked the cricketing fraternity when he pulled out of the ongoing second Test match against South Africa in Johannesburg citing an upper back spasm. This led to vice-captain KL Rahul leading the Indian team in his stead.
Virat Kohli missing this Test match also meant that his 100th match in the format has now been pushed possibly to the Bengaluru match against Sri Lanka at home in February.
But ahead of the third day of the second Test, in a positive development for Indian cricket fans, Kohli was seen receiving throwdowns from head coach Rahul Dravid.

Kohli strode out to the ground wearing a bib and did his stretching before taking a stance. As Dravid offered him throwdowns, Kohli looked at ease while playing his shots normally and looked in no discomfort specifically, something that bodes well for India for the third Test at Newlands, Cape Town.
