SA v IND 2021-22: Cricket fraternity reacts as India collapses from 272/3 to 327 all out in Centurion Test

India lost their last 7 wickets for 55 runs in the 1st innings of 1st Test.

KL Rahul came out to resume his innings at 122* and Rahane joined him on 40*. However, Rahul fell shortly for 123 runs off Kagiso Rabada and then Lungi Ngidi picked out Rahane for 48 runs.

Ngidi and Rabada then accounted for the next four wickets to fall as Pant (8), Shardul Thakur (4), R Ashwin (4) and Mohammad Shami (8) fell in quick succession.

Rahane failed to build on his knock and fell for 48 | GettyJasprit Bumrah (14) added some runs, but Marco Jansen removed him for his first Test wicket as India was bowled out for 327 runs in the first innings, managing to add just 55 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the first session of the day three.

Lungi Ngidi finished with 6/71, while Kagiso Rabada took 3/72.

The cricket fraternity was all critical of India’s collapse on day three and shared their views on Twitter.
