SA v IND 2021-22: WATCH - Deepak Chahar troubles Indian batters with swing in practice session

Deepak Chahar has travelled to South Africa as a standby player for Test series.

Pacer Deepak Chahar troubled the Indian batters during a recent training session in South Africa. The seamer couldn't make it to the main squad and he is with the team as a standby player.

Chahar posted a video of his bowling from the practice session on Twitter. He bowled to Wriddhiman Saha and Priyank Panchal in the clip and the Twitterati were impressed with his display of skillful swing bowling.

The 29-year-old managed to beat the batters multiple times by mixing the deliveries with inswingers and outswingers. Chahar captioned the video as "Red ball is fun" while posting the video.

Apart from Chahar, the selectors named Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Kumar, and Arzan Nagwaswalla as standby players for the three-match Test series against South Africa. 

The first Test match will be played from December 26, followed by the second and third Tests scheduled to begin from January 3 and January 11 respectively.
