India opener KL Rahul had missed the New Zealand Test series at home due to a muscle strain on his right thigh. But the Karnataka lad was looking in great touch in an Instagram reel posted in his official account of him batting in nets.
India will be touring South Africa for three Tests and as many ODIs starting December 26 and KL Rahul has been named in the 18-member squad for the Test series. The right-hander was also named the vice-captain of the Indian T20I team recently.

He is coming off a very good IPL 2021 and England Test series, where he had scored a century in Lord’s and gave India good starts in other Tests as well. He had a good T20 World Cup as well, scoring half-centuries in India’s last three league matches.
Much will depend on KL Rahul-Rohit Sharma opening partnership as India eyes its maiden Test series win in South Africa, after conquering Australia, England, and New Zealand previously.
