Rinku Singh finally got to showcase his prowess with the bat in the second T20I between Ireland and India which is being played in Dublin on August 20, 2023. Ireland won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Both the sides came into this game unchanged and India got off to a quick start courtesy Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made 18 in 11 balls. Tilak Varma couldn’t do much in the second game running as he was dismissed for 1 run.
Then Ruturaj Gaikwad (58) and Sanju Samson (40) added 71 runs for the 3rd wicket and they fell in quick succession. However, youngsters Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube were up to the task as after a few sighters, both went berserk in final 3 overs.
Dube made 22* in 16 balls, while Rinku Singh in his first outing for India in international cricket, hammered 38 in 21 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. India posted 185/5 in 20 overs.

Rinku Singh walked into bat after India lost Sanju Samson in the 13th over of the first innings. The batter was up against the spin of Benjamin White and struggled a bit against disciplined bowling from the Ireland bowlers initially.
Going into the final two overs of the India innings, Rinku was 15 off 15, but then he unleashed his fury hitting Brian McCarthy for 2 sixes and 1 four in the 19th over. And then added another six off Mark Adair in the last over, before perishing trying to repeat the result.
