Indian team enjoys a massive fan following wherever they go. It was quite evident during their two-match T20I series against Ireland. Although it was an away series for India, the support might not have given them the feeling that they were playing outside their home.
Over the years many die-hard fans of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have been spotted in the stands with their banners and charts. But the younger generation of players is not far behind.
The likes of Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and many others also have a massive fan following. In the second T20I against Ireland in Dublin, a few fans travelled from Mumbai to Ireland to support Suryakumar.

During the match, the broadcaster showed a fan with a poster that read, ‘From Mumbai to Dublin Just To Watch Surya Playing’. Although Suryakumar didn’t do justice to their visit with his performances in the series, he made sure that those fans went back with a special moment as he met them and clicked pictures with them.
The batter took to his official Instagram account and posted those pictures and thanked them for their support with the caption: “Seeing such immense support everywhere we go is truly heartwarming. Big thank you to you all for always having our back.”

The series also marked Suryakumar’s comeback to international cricket after he injured himself in the IPL 2022. But he didn’t have a fruitful series with the bat as in the first game he bagged a golden duck and then scored just 15 runs in the second T20I.
