After winning the first T20I easily despite rain curtailing the encounter to 12 overs per team, India will look to make a 2-0 clean sweep against Ireland, as the two sides meet in the second match in Dublin on June 28, 2022.
India made three changes for the second T20I against Ireland - Ruturaj Gaikwad continued his recovery from a niggle and hence Sanju Samson was called up; Harshal Patel was brought in place of Avesh Khan while Ravi Bishnoi was given an opportunity as India rested Yuzvendra Chahal.
As Hardik Pandya revealed Sanju Samson’s inclusion in the playing XI, the crowd present at the Malahide ground went berserk with loud noises supporting his inclusion. Pandya won the toss and this time decided to bat first.

Talking about the game, Hardik said: “The wicket looks alright and the weather looks awesome and sunny as well. When we bowled first we expected the wicket to do much more than it did. But credit to the boys to keep them down to that total by realizing which balls to bowl.”
Ireland did not make any changes to their XI.
