GL batted first and though Dwayne Smith and Suresh Raina got run out early, Ishan Kishan (34), Dinesh Karthik (40) gave critical support to Aaron Finch who smashed 69 runs in 39 balls to take GL to a brilliant 195/5.

Delhi had a big task in front of them and though only Karun Nair gave them a brisk start with 30 runs. However, it was Shreyas Iyer who smacked a brilliant 96 off 57 balls with 15 fours. and constructed a 50+ run partnership with Pat Cummins who made 24 runs. However, he fell short of his century, but Amit Mishra hit two fours in the two balls he faced to take Delhi to the win.

In an dead match, DD finished on a high note against GL whose IPL just didn't hit that high gear this time.
