Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques, who is a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise, has said that the Indian Premier League will break barriers and bring the players closer, as there were a relentless war of words between Australian and Indian players during the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Henriques told the Press Trust of India, "It (IPL) breaks down those barriers and you get to know players off the field which is probably the most important piece to know. Once you get to know people and what they are like off the field, that's when you start building true friendships."
SRH all-rounder further added, "What happens on the field that's competitive, that's emotional. But when you slow down, when you realise, there are absolutely more important than cricket. You go to families and friends that are when I guess you start develop some new relationships."
Moises Henriques played a ker role in SRH win over RCB in the IPL 10 opener on Wednesday. He also said that he is happy to be part of the Hyderabad outfit as the team members are gelling well. The all-rounder concluded, "The likes of Yuvraj Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are very humble and their pleasing personality has an infectious effect on others."
