Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, on Wednesday (February 23), expressed his happiness over returning to the Indian cricket team ahead of the upcoming bilateral series against Sri Lanka.
Jadeja was under rehabilitation after he suffered a right forearm injury in the Kanpur Test match against New Zealand in December 2021. He then missed the South Africa tour and the recent home series against the West Indies due to the injury. However, the all-rounder is now fit and raring to go.
Ahead of the three-match T20I and Test series against Sri Lanka, Jadeja has expressed his excitement about playing for Team India again after two months.
The all-rounder said that he feels great and is excited to get a chance to play for India after two and a half months. He is very excited to play in the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka after recovering from an injury.

In a video shared by the BCCI on Twitter, Jadeja said: “Good feeling to be back in the Indian team. I’m really looking forward to playing the T20I series and the Test series. I am feeling so good that finally after two months, I will be playing for India.”
He added, “I was keen to do my rehab properly and was working hard on my fitness at NCA. Batted and bowled in Bengaluru, so everything was good, and was in touch with the game. Today, I came here for my first practice session after more than two months, so I’m feeling really good.”
Notably, the home series will get underway with a T20I match on Thursday, February 24 in Lucknow.
