Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra feels that West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard looked disinterested in the recent white-ball series against India. He said that the all-rounder looks a better player when he plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
West Indies had a forgettable tour to India. The ‘Men in Maroon’ were at the receiving end of 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series in Ahmedabad. To worsen the case more, they then suffered a 3-0 drubbing in the T20I series.
One of the biggest reasons for their poor run in India was the form of their skipper Kieron Pollard. The right-hander played first ODI, scoring a duck, and missed the last two games due to injury.
He returned for the T20Is but his poor run of form continued as he scored only 32 runs in three games at a strike rate of 110.34. He also conceded 14 runs with the ball in the solitary over he bowled in the series.

Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said that Kieron Pollard looked disinterested in the white-ball series against India. He remarked that the West Indies skipper looks much better when he plays for Mumbai Indians.
"Kieron Pollard - it seemed he is not interested at all. He is not bowling and when he comes to bat, he doesn't look the same player. He looks much better for the Mumbai Indians,” Aakash Chopra said.
Aakash Chopra further said when Kieron Pollard plays for West Indies he looks half the player of what he looks when he plays for Mumbai Indians.
"Honestly, when you see him play for the West Indies, he looks half the player, whether you talk about the T20 World Cup or here, whether you talk about him not bowling or his field placements as a captain. It just does not inspire any confidence whatsoever," he said.
West Indies will be next seen in action when they lock horns against England in the three-match Test series, to be played from 8th March to 29th March.
