India's leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a witty response after former India cricketer Irfan Pathan asked him if Ravi Bishnoi is taking him for a dinner. Chahal and Bishnoi have been very effective with the ball in the first two T20Is against West Indies.
Bishnoi, who made his debut in the ongoing series, has received praises for his bowling performance. He picked up two wickets in the first T20I and one in the next match.
After India won the second T20I on Friday (February 18), Pathan asked Chahal where is Bishnoi taking him for the dinner. Responding to the question, the senior leggie gave an unexpected and hilarious answer.
"Pehle mai uske kamre mai khopche mai leke jaunga," replied Chahal and Pathan, along with his team were left in splits with the answer.
Chahal was joking about the drop catches off his bowling by Bishnoi. It was in the 10th over of the chase when Nicholas Pooran attempted a slog against Chahal’s flighted delivery.
The shot went flat towards the left of deep mid-wicket where Bishnoi was seen running towards to grab the ball, and he ended up dropping the catch.
A similar incident had happened in the first T20I when Bishnoi took the catch of Pooran but backtracked to step on the boundary rope, and it was given a six.
