Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the addition of wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan and hard-hitting batter Shahrukh Khan to India's squad for the first ODI against West Indies on Sunday (February 6) in Ahmedabad.
The match will be a special one for the hosts, as they will become the first team to play 1000 ODIs.
In a media release, BCCI said, “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Ishan Kishan and Shahrukh Khan to India’s squad for the first ODI against the West Indies to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.”
Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad and reserve seamer Navdeep Saini are currently isolating after testing positive for COVID-19. Vice-captain KL Rahul is also missing the first ODI to attend the wedding of his sister.
